The Crinan Hotel, just a 5-7 minute walk from us, is a popular place to eat. It is particularly famed for its excellent seafood, incredibly fresh, often caught just a few metres from the hotel! However it also offers a varied menu to suit all tastes, and is highly recommended if you want a good meal out, while leaving the car at home.
Owned by the Ryan family, Frances and Ross Ryan are also renowned local artists. A number of pieces of art work are available to view in the upper floor of the hotel. Previous guests have spoken of their delight being able to buy a piece of art as a momento of their holiday (whether an original or a print!)
Crinan Coffee Shop
Just a few yards from the hotel on the edge of the canal basin, the coffee shop is great place to go at the end of a walk, the Coffee Shop offers fresh home baking, including meringues, cakes and fresh scones as well as teas, coffee and soft drinks. There is also soup of the day, hot filled rolls, and sandwiches, ice creams and lollies. Beautiful location to watch the action on the canal outside!
